MSK Kishtwar holds awareness event under POSHAN ABHIYAN at Dassa Dool

Kishtwar: District level Centre For Women, Mahila Shakti Kendra, Kishtwar, today organized an awareness campaign as part of the POSHAN ABHIYAN( campaign), here at Anganwari Centre Dassa Dool.
The MSK is carrying out the campaign on the directions of District Development Commissioner, Rajinder Singh Tara (chairman) and under the overall supervision of DPO, ICDS Pawan Parihar .
The Programme was attended by AWWs, Helpers, Adolescent girls, and locals of Dassa village of Dool panchayat.
The MSK team informed the participants that the aim of Poshan Abhiyan is to ensure holistic development and adequate nutrition for pregnant women, mothers and children and spread awareness about its importance.
Awareness was spread regarding the malnutrition, stunting, overweight, under weight, early initiation of breastfeeding and it’s benefits both for mother and children, diet/supplements taken during pregnancy.
The participants were also sensitised about the schemes like PMMVY ,JSY which are the cash transfer scheme for pregnant and lactating women for their delivery care.
