MSK Rajouri holds Awareness Camp to celebrate Int’l Women’s Week -2022
RAJOURI : On the direction and supervision of Deputy Commissioner Rajouri Vikas Kundal, District Hub for Empowerment of Women (MSK Rajouri under MoWCD, Government of India) organised an awareness camp here at Dawn Public School on the women and gender issues.
The event was organised to mark international Women Day held worldwide to celebrate the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women.
Dr Anum Mirza (Women Welfare Officer, Rajouri), while interacting with the students said that women are strong, powerful and invincible.
With thousands of mantras encouraging women’s existence every day, a special week is indeed a necessity to celebrate women’s achievements in all aspects of life. Whether she is a teacher, home maker, economist, engineer or pioneer, women have been making the world a better place with their infinite strength, determination and belief.
The team also listed the initiatives taken by the Ministry of women and child development for empowerment of women through its women centric schemes like Aasra Scheme, SAKSHAM,E-SHARAM ,SUKANYA SAMRIDHI YOJANA,WOMEN POLICE STATION, SHELTER HOME, OLD AGE PENSION SCHEME, NATIONAL SCHOLARSHIP PORTAL,JANANI SURAKSHA YOJANA, AYUSHMAN BHARAT,HUNNAR, STATE MARRIAGE ASSISTANCE, SCHOLARSHIP FOR SINGLE GIRL CHILD, INDIRA GANDHI NATIONAL DISABILITY PENSION SCHEME, EMPLOYMENT GENERATION PROGRAMS INCLUDING TEJASWANI, WOMEN HELPLINE 181, MUMKIN, JKEID,PMEGP.
She further said that every girl should get an equal opportunity to explore herself and should be supported by their parents and society to become an independent woman.
Nazma Sheikh (Dist. Co-ordinator of MSK), and all the staff members of the school also attended the program.
