MSK Ramban sensitises women about personal hygiene; conducts cleanliness drive

 

RAMBAN : Mahila Shakti Kender, Ramban, working with the Social Welfare Department, today conducted an awareness camp on personal hygiene and sanitation at Tatarau village of Ramban Block.

Speaking on the occasion, the Women Welfare Officer, Nadia Hamid sensitized the women folk especially young and Adolescent Girls about the importance of personal hygiene and cleanliness and sanitation of their areas to lead a healthy life.

She also educated them about their legal rights and other welfare schemes launched by the Government to ensure overall development of women folk.

She encouraged the young girls to take advantage of the Tejaswini Scheme by taking subsidized loans to start their own self-employment unit.

Later, the MSK also conducted a cleanliness drive under the Clean India Programme to promote “Swachhta Hi Sewa” slogan in the area.
