MSME setting up Common Facility Centre for Artisans

Srinagar: In order to reap the dividends under the SFURTI Scheme for the Artisan Community, an interactive session was held today.
Joint Director, Handicrafts, Assistant Directors, Field officers of Kashmir division, and Assistant Director (Incharge) MSME-DI Srinagar Ministry of MSME, Incharge MSME-TDC(PPDC) Srinagar on SFURTI Scheme of Ministry of MSME attended the meeting.
Dr. Ashwin Dhivakar of Technology Development Centre (PPDC), Agra presented a presentation on SFURTI Scheme.
Assistant Director MSME said that under SFURTI Scheme Common Facility Centers (CFCs) worth 2.5 Crore and 5 Crores depending on number of artisans would be established as per the guidelines which will include facilities for multiple products and packaging, Raw Material Bank (RMBs), Training Centres, and warehousing.
Joint Director Handicrafts Sajid Naqash directed the field officers of Handicraft Department to ensure to work in tandem with MSME Development Institute Srinagar and Technology Development Centre (PPDC) by identification of artisan Cluster for establishing multiple CFC’s for Artisans in all districts of the Kashmir region.
