MSW orientation concludes, Pakhwada launched to end Gender Violence

Aligarh : The valedictory event of 27th Orientation Program of MSW (1st Semester) Session 2022-23 was organised by the Department of Social Work, AMU

The Chief Guest on the occasion Mr Mohammad Imran, (IPS) Registrar (AMU) remarked about the importance of having command over various social work theories and their application on the field. He emphasized that the social work profession helps students to build understanding on decision making, critical thinking, team building, conflict resolution and social responsibility.

The Registrar also launched Pakhwada to End Violence against Women which is observed internationally from 25th November to 10th December.

Later, certificates for the participants, organisers and resource persons were also handed over by the Chief Guest.

Prof Naseem Ahmad Khan, Chairperson, Department of Social Work delivered the welcome address.

Dr Mohd Arif Khan, Assistant Professor, Department of Social introduced the valedictory event.

Dr QurratulAein Ali, Assistant Professor, Department of Social Work introduced the 16 days Pakhwada and role of social work trainees in eliminating violence against women in every form.

Dr Shyna Saif concluded the proceedings of the event.
