Mu Sigma and TAPMI see a rise in the number of professionals signing up for the L.E.A.D program

Manipal: Mu Sigma and TAPMI have co-created a unique eleven-month Post Graduate Program in Leadership through Analytics and Decision Sciences (L.E.A.D) to create a talent pool of young and dynamic next-generation decision scientists. Students successfully graduating from this program will be inducted into Mu Sigma as trainee Apprentice Leaders (AL).

The second batch was successfully launched in the Bangalore office of Mu Sigma.
32 students who were selected through a rigorous selection process joined the program. The inauguration was graced by Prof. Madhu Veeraraghavan (Director, TAPMI),
Mr Ananth Vaidyanathan (Head of Operations, Mu Sigma), amongst others from the Mu Sigma and TAPMI teams.

Ananth Vaidyanathan said that “The L.E.A.D. program was launched as a collaboration between TAMPI and Mu Sigma to create a powerful breed of decision scientists who can think in an interdisciplinary manner and continuously innovate at the intersection of Math, Business, Technology, Behavioral Science and Design Thinking. The program has shown great results as the first batch prepares to get certified mid of this year and join us at Mu Sigma. It is encouraging to see the upswell in the number of applicants for the second batch, giving us the validation that industry, academia, and individuals are acknowledging and opening up to a new way of learning. Mu Sigma’s commitment to creating future-ready leaders continues as we keep practising the learning-by-doing pedagogy in our business for the last 15 years.”

Prof. Madhu Veeraraghavan said that “the unique collaborative effort between top-class faculty of TAPMI and Mu Sigma, the largest pure-play analytics company in the world to co-create and deliver this program will create a magnificent learning experience for everyone. This batch will go through an optimal mix of experiential and classroom sessions for a span of eleven months.

The six months training in TAPMI will focus on delivering foundations of management, business communication, design thinking, behavioural sciences, and leadership

The five months at Mu Sigma will deliver experiential training where students will apprentice with Mu Sigma decision-scientists and learn-by-doing through access to multi-disciplinary real-world problems and innovation in the Mu Sigma ecosystem

The candidates will be imparted with a blend of classroom education and real-world training, ensuring industry readiness.

While welcoming the 2nd batch of students to the L.E.A.D program, the leaders also announced the commencement date for the 3rd batch in July 2020.
