Multi Lingual Mushaira held at Ramban to celebrate Baisakhi

 

RAMBAN: District Administration Ramban, in collaboration with Sargam Sangeet Society (SSS) and District Centre DIPR on Tuesday organised a Multi-Lingual Mushaira to celebrate Baisakhi under the aegis of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav on the eve of Baisakhi here at conference hall Maitra.

Deputy Commissioner Ramban, Mussarat Islam was the chief guest and Additional District Development Commissioner, Rajinder Sharma was the guest of honour.

The programme was held under the overall supervision of Additional Deputy Commissioner, Harbans Sharma and attended by CPO, Dr. Kasturi Lal; Dy. DEO, Lal Chand; CEO, Dev Anand; CHO, DYSSO, Councilor MC Ramban, President SSS and various other senior officers.

Speaking on the occasion, the DC appreciated the Sargam Sangeet Society and DIPR Ramban besides other stakeholders for organizing a wonderful Mushaira. He also informed that the District Administration has already taken up the issues with concerned authorities for establishing a branch of J&K Cultural Academy at Ramban.

The DC also assured every possible help to cultural organizations for organizing such events in the district.

In the Mushaira, the participants recited their poetic works in Dogri, Kashmiri, Gojri, Pogli, Siraji, Khashali, Kha and Zundari besides in English which were highly appreciated by the audience.

The prominent participants included Mohammed Yousuf, Abdul Latif Bulbul, Mohammed Shabnam Deng, Ayaz Hussain Musroor and Ranjay Kumar.

The moderator of Mushaira Deputy District Election Officer, Lal Chand and Raj Singh Raju also recited their creations in different languages.
