MUMKIN scheme aims to empower youth through self employment opportunities: DC Reasi

 

REASI : Deputy Commissioner Reasi, Charandeep Singh today launched Mission youth livelihood program “MUMKIN” by giving away keys of subsidized small commercial Vehicles to four young beneficiaries.

Jamal Din of Dharmari; Farooq Ahmed of Mahore, Mohammad Saleem of Dera Baba and Mohammad Rafiq of Mahore were provided the vehicles along with registration and other documents in presence of ADDC, Jyoti Slathia; CPO, Sunita Kanchan; ACR Sanjay Badyal, ACD Anirudh Rai ,CAO, CHO, bank representatives and other concerned officers and officials.

After handing over the keys of vehicles to beneficiaries, the DC said that the government is on a mission to uplift, mentor and provide sustainable livelihood to the youth of Jammu Kashmir under the “MUMKIN” scheme.

The idea behind this initiative is to provide small commercial vehicles to youth with reasonable subsidies from the government, enabling them to earn a decent livelihood, he added.

The DC informed that the selection committee had selected 70 candidates out of 89 applicants under the MUMKIN scheme of Mission Youth through draw of lots. He said that this process will continue further and more youth will be motivated to avail the benefits.
