Mumkin scheme: DC Doda discusses modalities for execution of Customized Livelihood Generation prog

 

Doda : District Development Commissioner Doda, Vikas Sharma today chaired the maiden meeting of District Level Implementation Committee (DLIC) to discuss modalities for the implementation of Customized Livelihood Generation Scheme- “Mumkin- New Possibilities” in the district here at DC office complex.

At the outset, the Assistant Director, District Employment & Counseling Centre, (Nodal Officer) apprised the meeting that a list of eligible unemployed youth has been framed after they filed applications online. He said the same will be submitted for sanctioning to higher authorities after the approval by the DLIC.

It was given out by the Nodal officer that around 121 applications were received from the beneficiaries which they have submitted through online mode, out of which 115 have been accepted and the rest were found ineligible.

He informed that under scheme eligible youth of J&K shall be encouraged to start a sustainable livelihood in the transport sector by providing financial assistance for purchase of small commercial vehicles like taxis, mini bus, light commercial vehicles, tempo and other modes of transportation of similar nature under public carrier permit.

The DDC called upon the members to create mass awareness about the scheme so that eligible candidates can avail its benefits. Besides, he directed the concerned Nodal officer to ensure error free compilation of all applications fulfilling all the criteria conditions before approval for further sanctioning.

The meeting was attended by GM DIC Khalid Malik, AD DE & CC Anoop Kumar, DIO Doda Mohd Ashraf Wani and LDM Doda.
