MUMKIN Scheme: Vice Chairman DDC Kathua hands over keys of vehicles to 20 beneficiaries

 

KATHUA  : Twenty youth of Kathua today become proud owners of commercial vehicles provided to them under flagship Customized Livelihood Scheme MUMKIN of Mission Youth program.

Vice Chairman DDC, Kathua Raghunandan Singh, handed over keys to the beneficiaries during a brief ceremony held at office premises of District Employment & Counseling Centre, Kathua.

Speaking on the occasion, Vice Chairman DDC, Kathua Raghunandan Singh said the MUMKIN scheme has received overwhelming response from youth in all tehsils of the district as they are now considering self-employment a better option than government jobs. He appealed to the beneficiaries to work with dedication and zeal and the success will be theirs.

While throwing light on the youth centric initiatives of the government, Raghunandan Singh said the MUMKIN scheme has been launched with the motive to provide support to the unemployed youth of JKUT to make them self-reliant.

Assistant Director, Employment & Counseling Centre, Naresh Kumar informed that under the MUMKIN scheme, a total 62 mini commercial vehicles have been handed over to the beneficiaries in the district.

Representatives of TATA and Mahindra Company besides beneficiaries of the MUMKIN scheme were also present on the occasion.
