MVD, District Information Centre Reasi host cultural programme

Reasi: Motor Vehicle Department Reasi today organised a cultural programme as part of the ongoing Road Safety Month, here at General Bus Stand Reasi.

Regional Transport Officer Jammu, Dhanantar Singh was the Chief Guest at the event. Chairman, Reasi Municipal Committee, Sudesh Puri was also present at the occasion.

A number of local school students shed light on road safety and traffic rules during a symposium. Popular dance troupe of Ramalo Ram & Party and singer Sars Bharati gave stellar dance and musical performances on the occasion and delivered message about road safety through the medium.

An informative skit was also presented by Savrang Kala Sangam, in association with District Information Centre Reasi. The actors Rajesh Ajnabi, Meenu Sharma, Deepak Kumar, Pritam Kumar, Vishal Pandoh and others gave a strong message through their powerful performance.

The participants, along with the guests, later took a pledge to observe road safety rules and to spread awareness about the same.

Those present at the occasion also included Assistant Commissioner Development Reasi, Anirudh Rai, elected members of Reasi Municipal Council among other senior officers of the district and a large number of people.
