MVD Samba organizes Symposium and Poster Making Competition

Samba: Motor Vehicles Department Samba today organized Symposium and Poster Making Competition at Govt. Girls Higher Secondary School Samba to spread awareness among masses during 31st National Road Safety Week 2020.
Chief Education Officer Samba B.L. Sharma was chief guest on the occasion and more than 200 students from various government and Private schools participated the events.
Speaking on the occasion, CEO appreciated the students for giving shape to their creative ideas and said that such programs play pivotal role in educating students about much needed awareness about road safety.
ARTO Rehana Tabassum stressed on importance of imbibing road safety habits for prosperous and long life. Students also added colors to their creativity to shape different posters depicting slogans like Learning to drive, Accident bring tears safety bring cheers, Don’t Drink &Drive.
Earlier, MVD team in collaboration with Traffic Department tied reflective tapes around neck of roaming animals on national highway. MVI Surinder said that roaming animals are one of the major causes of accident during night hours so reflective taps be tied around their neck so that their presence became visible to incoming vehicles besides enhancing safety measures.
