Nagoya University Teams Up with Kasugai City to Launch Innovative Analytics-Based Preventative Care Project
Nagoya University and the city of Kasugai, in Aichi Prefecture, are embarking upon a project which aims to use preventative medical care to improve quality of life and reduce medical costs, with a focus on renal diseases.
Nagoya University Graduate School of Medicine and Kasugai will cooperate to analyse medical and care data provided by the city, identifying high risk patients and providing them with preventative care such as support in improving their diet or exercise routines. Dean Hiroshi Kimura and Mayor Naoki Ishiguro signed the agreement on October 11, 2024.
The project is part of the Integrated Research and Education Center for Health and Medical Life Design, a THERS project which aims to optimize medical and nursing care and promote the wellbeing of the next generation.
