Nanjing University Hosts 2024 Academic Annual Meeting of the Information Management Committee of the Chinese Association for Academic Degrees and Graduate Education
In order to further promote the deep integration of information technology and education and teaching, continuously improve the digital level of postgraduate education, assist in the reform of postgraduate education, and improve the quality of postgraduate education in my country, from May 22nd to 24th, the 2024 Academic Annual Meeting of the Information Management Committee of the Chinese Society for Academic Degrees and Postgraduate Education was held at Nanjing University, hosted by Nanjing University and Jiangsu Jinzhi Education Information Co., Ltd., and co-organized by Chongqing University and Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics. The theme of this conference is “Promoting educational informatization and assisting reform and innovation in postgraduate education.”
Leaders from the Ministry of Education’s Degree and Postgraduate Education Development Center, the Chinese Society for Degree and Postgraduate Education, the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Education, and more than 400 representatives from nearly 200 universities and enterprises including Peking University, Tsinghua University, Fudan University, and Zhejiang University attended the conference, setting a new record for the number of participants in all previous annual meetings.
The opening ceremony of the conference was held on the morning of the 23rd. Wang Lei, Director of the Degree and Postgraduate Education Development Center of the Ministry of Education, Yuan Jingyu, first-level inspector of the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Education, Jin Baosheng, vice president of the China Association for Degree and Postgraduate Education and former vice president of Southeast University, Wang Zhenlin, member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and vice president of Nanjing University, Zhao Weisheng, member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and vice president of Beihang University, and Li Yingmin, assistant to the president of Chongqing University and dean of the National Academy of Excellent Engineers, delivered speeches respectively.
This annual meeting organized a total of 6 rich theme reports. Shi Daning, Vice President of Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, Zhou Jilin, Standing Committee Member of Nanjing University Party Committee and Executive Vice President of Graduate School, Bi Xin, Deputy Secretary of Party Committee and Chief Digital Officer of Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University, Cao Qinghua, Dean of Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, Executive Vice President of Future Aerospace Technology College, and Executive Vice President of National Academy of Excellent Engineers, Secretary-General of Information Governance Committee of East China Normal University, Shen Fuke, Vice Chairman and Secretary-General of Education Informatization Branch of China Higher Education Society, and Guo Chao, Chairman of Jiangsu Jinzhi Education Information Co., Ltd., respectively gave reports on the topics of Recognizing Change, Integrating Innovation – Digital Intelligence Technology Empowers the Transformation of Graduate Training Mode, Rooting in China to Build the Most Innovative Graduate Education – Nanjing University Graduate Education Reform and Practice, Artificial Intelligence Helps the Digital Transformation of Higher Education, Exploration and Prospect of Artificial Intelligence Technology on Course Teaching Change, Promoting Education Digitalization to Promote the Transformation of Education Mode, and AI Empowers the Digital Transformation of Higher Education
Three parallel forums were held on the afternoon of the 23rd, hosted by Nanjing University, Chongqing University and Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics. The participants conducted in-depth exchanges and discussions on the innovation and breakthrough of digital graduate education management model, the construction and reform of graduate admissions informatization, and the construction of digital empowerment graduate quality assurance system. 17 experts and scholars from domestic universities and industry enterprises shared their research results and practical experience in digital empowerment of degrees and graduate education in the information environment, graduate admissions publicity work in the information age, big data technology in graduate education quality assurance, digital intelligence empowerment of high-quality development of graduate education, deep integration of information technology and graduate education and teaching, and data-driven digitalization of graduate education.
On the morning of the 24th, certificates were issued to the winners of the excellent papers and excellent cases of this academic annual meeting. Zhang Liang, deputy dean of the Graduate School of Nanjing University, Li Hong, director of the Admissions Office of the Graduate School of Chongqing University, and Chen Bing, dean of the Graduate School of Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, respectively gave summary reports of the parallel forum. Representatives of the winners of Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, Harbin Institute of Technology, Peking University, and China Agricultural University shared their excellent papers and excellent cases.
This academic annual meeting has built a platform for universities, industries and enterprises to share results and exchange experiences in the deep integration of information technology and graduate education and teaching. It has provided new ideas and directions for continuously improving the digital level of graduate education, and has also injected new vitality and impetus into my country’s graduate education reform.
