Nanjing University Party School Branch Studies Spirit of 20th CPC Central Committee’s Third Plenary Session

On the afternoon of July 23, 2024, the Party School Party Branch of the Organization Department of the Party Committee held a special organizational life in the form of a combination of online and offline activities to study the spirit of the Third Plenary Session of the 20th CPC Central Committee and General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important speech at the 15th collective study session of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee, and conducted discussions and exchanges in conjunction with recent work.

Comrade Jiao Ruihua, Party Branch Secretary, Member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee of the University, Director of the Organization Department and Director of the United Front Work Department, presided over and led the study of the spirit of the Third Plenary Session of the 20th CPC Central Committee. He started from the great significance and overall requirements of further comprehensively deepening reform and promoting Chinese-style modernization, and explained in detail to the party members the guiding ideology, general goals, principles and systematic deployment of further comprehensively deepening reform. He also focused on the two aspects of “building a system and mechanism to support comprehensive innovation” and “improving the party’s leadership in further comprehensively deepening reform and promoting Chinese-style modernization”, and interpreted them in combination with the actual work of the school.

Comrade Fan Yun, deputy secretary of the Party branch and deputy director of the Organization Department of the Party Committee, led the study of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important speech at the 15th collective study session of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee, and reported on the recent arrangements and requirements of the Central Committee and the Party Committee of the Ministry of Education on party discipline learning and education.

Before the meeting, the branch organized party members to combine their own work, compare the “Regulations” one by one, and sort out the risk points and shortcomings that may violate party discipline in their work. At the meeting, party member representative Comrade Zhang Jinglong focused on the selection of cadres, Comrade Shen Tiedi focused on cadre assessment and supervision and office work, and Comrade Huo Jie focused on grassroots party building and party school work. Other party members exchanged ideas based on their own work. Finally, Comrade Jiao Ruihua pointed out that party discipline learning and education should focus on integrating into daily life, insist on learning the original text, and combine learning with typical cases to truly make the “Regulations” enter the mind and heart; at the same time, the organization department should combine the “three meetings and one class” with party member education and training, and continue to deepen the interpretation and study of the “Regulations”, so that party members and cadres will know fear, be cautious, and keep the bottom line.
