Nanjing University’s Party Committee Conveys and Studies Spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s Recent Important Speech
On June 3, the Standing Committee of the Party Committee of the University held a meeting to convey and study the important speech made by General Secretary Xi Jinping at the 14th collective study session of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee, and to study measures for implementation. Party Secretary of the University Tan Tianniu presided over the meeting and delivered a speech. Deputy Party Secretary and President Tan Zhemin attended the meeting.
The meeting conveyed and studied the important speech delivered by General Secretary Xi Jinping at the 14th collective study session of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee. The meeting pointed out that General Secretary Xi Jinping comprehensively summarized the historical achievements and valuable experience of employment work in the new era from a strategic and overall perspective, emphasizing that “promoting high-quality full employment” is the new positioning and new mission of employment work in the new era and new journey, which provides a fundamental guideline for taking the road of employment development in the new era. We must study and understand it carefully and implement it in light of the actual situation of Nanjing University. The meeting emphasized that we must further deepen our understanding, accurately grasp its core essence and practical requirements, and further improve our ideological and behavioral awareness in doing a good job in employment. We must further focus on our mission, dynamically adjust the professional structure layout in a targeted manner, deepen the reform of the talent training system, improve the quality of talent training, and improve the supply-demand docking mechanism. We must further take on responsibilities and take student employment work as a “top priority”, guide the majority of graduates to establish a correct view of success, career, and employment, and devote themselves to the places where the country needs them; fully gather market-oriented and socialized resources to provide graduates with a wider range of choices; strengthen employment training, improve students’ career planning and employment capabilities, and contribute to Nanjing University’s strength in promoting high-quality and full employment.
The meeting reviewed the important speech by General Secretary Xi Jinping when he presided over the fifth collective study of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee. The meeting pointed out that on the basis of reviewing and summarizing the phased progress in the past year, we must continue to focus on key areas and links, make full arrangements to promote the next stage of work, strengthen the support of education to lead high-level scientific and technological self-reliance and serve the development of new quality productivity, and transform the results of learning the important speech into solid results in promoting the construction of an education power. We must unswervingly implement the fundamental task of cultivating morality and cultivating people, unswervingly serve the needs of the country, and unswervingly reform and innovate.
The meeting conveyed and studied the spirit of the “Notice on Earnestly Studying and Understanding General Secretary Xi Jinping’s Important Expositions on Strengthening the Party’s Discipline Construction and Solidly Carrying out Party Discipline Study and Education”. The meeting pointed out that General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important expositions on strengthening the party’s discipline construction are lofty and profound in thought, and should be fully implemented in conjunction with our school’s party discipline study and education work. We must continue to work hard on “learning”, improve our position, and deepen our ideological understanding; we must continue to work hard on “strictness”, enforce strict discipline, and strengthen awareness of rules; we must continue to work hard on “reality”, take practical actions, and refine implementation measures. Party organizations at all levels in the school must shoulder the main responsibility, optimize the working mechanism, strengthen publicity and guidance, do a good job in research and interpretation, and promote learning and education to continue to take root in the hearts of the people.
