Nanjing University’s Suzhou Campus Hosts ‘Lunch Meeting’ for Logistics Support Teachers and Students
At noon on May 29, a “lunch meeting” for teachers and students of the logistics support department of Nanjing University Suzhou Campus was held in the Tianshu Building 303 Conference Room. Assistant to the President Li Bin had lunch with 12 undergraduate and graduate student representatives from different colleges and research institutes, listened to the students’ opinions and suggestions on various work of the Suzhou Campus, and discussed the construction and development of the campus.
At the meeting, each student representative actively expressed their opinions based on their daily personal experiences, focusing on issues such as teaching staff, infrastructure construction, use of public spaces, canteen management, and daily campus management, and provided constructive solutions.
Li Bin listened carefully to the speeches of each student and expressed his gratitude to the students for their active contribution of wisdom to the construction and development of the campus. He led the heads of relevant departments to gain an in-depth understanding of the students’ concerns and needs, and responded to questions and suggestions one by one. He said that today’s “lunch meeting” collected valuable opinions from the students, and the management departments should earnestly promote implementation and provide timely feedback to the students. Although online feedback is more convenient, management workers should still adhere to a higher frequency of offline interaction and have full face-to-face exchanges and discussions with students. He emphasized that all management departments should strengthen communication with students, take the initiative to care about what students think and think, and actively respond to what students hope for and need. He believes that students’ active suggestions to the management department are a reflection of their love for the school, and he hopes that the majority of students will actively speak out through reasonable channels and make suggestions for the construction and development of the campus.
Heads of departments including Suzhou Campus Office, Suzhou Campus Party and Mass Organization Work Office, Suzhou Campus Office of the Undergraduate College (Student Affairs Department of the Party Committee), Suzhou Campus Office of the Graduate School (Graduate Affairs Department of the Party Committee), Suzhou Campus General Affairs Office, and Suzhou Campus Office of the Security Department (Security Department of the Party Committee) attended the meeting.
