National conference on “Resurgent India: Themes, Aspirations, and Challenges at 75” to begin on August 8

 

ALIGARH  : The Department of Political Science, Aligarh Muslim University is organizing a two-day national conference on “Resurgent India: Themes, Aspirations, and Challenges at 75” on August 8-9, 2023. The conference will be presided over by Prof. Mohammad Gulrez, Vice Chancellor, Aligarh Muslim University.

The conference aims at providing a platform for in-depth discussion and critical analysis of various dimensions of India’s journey through the 75 years of independence. More than 140 scholars from across India are expected to attend the conference and present paper on a wide range of topics related to India’s resurgence in the 75th year of its independence.

The sub-themes of the conference include: “Vishwa Guru Bharat: Prospects and Challenges”, “Digital India: Socio-Economic Infrastructure and Challenges”, “Skill India: Opportunity and Challenges”, “Swastha Bharat; Ayushman Bharat, Aarogya Bharat: Health and Nutritional Challenges”, “Atmanirbhar Bharat: Issues and Prospects”, “Ek Bharat, Shrestha Bharat: Challenges Ahead”, “Skill India: Horizons and Perspectives”, “Start-Up India: Youth and Entrepreneur”, “India and Environment Politics”, “NEP and Challenges of Education in India”, “Innovations, Peace and Development: Issues and Challenges”, “Artificial Intelligence and Governance”, “Women Empowerment: Issues and Challenges”, “Startups- Youth-Entrepreneurial tie ups”, “Diaspora: Emerging Trends”, “Villages: Problems and Challenges”, “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam”, “Contemporary National Security Issues”, “Innovation: Evolving Efforts”, “Ideas of India: Changing Paradigm”, “Development and Sustainability: Issues ahead” and “Justice: Issue of Peace and Unity”.

The conferences will host distinguished speakers from various fields, who will share their expertise and invaluable insights. Mr SY Qureshi (Former Chief Election Commissioner of India) will discuss the challenges in upholding democratic values, while Prof. Bahrul Islam (Indian Institute of Management, Kashipur) will share his views on entrepreneurship, startups, and the challenges and opportunities for the youth in India. Prof. Amitabh Kundu (Professor Emeritus and an esteemed economist) will offer valuable insights on the socio-economic challenges faced by India in the context of its rural development initiatives. Mr. Shantanu Mukherji (Former IPS officer and an expert on national security issues) will address contemporary security challenges and the evolving efforts in safeguarding the nation.
