National Energy Conservation Day at AMU

 

Aligarh : Dr Ghazala Naheed, Provost, Abdullah Hall, Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) administered the pledge for overall energy efficiency and conservation of natural resources at the residential girls hostel, Abdullah Hall to mark the National Energy Conservation Day observations.

She spoke on the importance of organising programmes to make people aware of global warming, climate change and methods of saving energy resources.

Dr Naheed urged the staff members and resident students of Abdullah Hall to advocate energy efficiency at their residences, work places and in their surroundings.

Meanwhile, at the Abdullah School of the university, National Energy Conservation Day was observed with a poster making competition and other awareness activities highlighting sustainable energy and electricity conservation.

Ms Umra Zaheer, Superintendent, Abdullah School also administered the pledge for efficient energy conservation and spoke about substituting non-renewable energy resources with renewable ones to reduce energy consumption.
