National Legal Services Day: DLSA Reasi hosts webinar on Fundamental Rights, Duties
Reasi: District Legal Services Authority Reasi, under the Chairman of Chairman District Legal Services Authority (Principal District & Sessions Judge), Kamlesh Pandit today organized a webinar on Fundamental Rights and Fundamental Duties and awareness on Legal Services Schemes of NALSA and SLSA to mark the National Legal Services Day.
Bar members, Sarpanches, Panches, PLVs, members of Child Welfare Committee and members of J.J.B participated.
The resource persons threw light on different NALSA/SLSA scheme “Legal Services to Mentally ill persons with Mental Disabilities”.
The Chairman District Legal Services Authority explained to the participants about the Rights of Mentally ill persons, Powers and duties of Police Officers in respect of mentally ill persons, Provisions regarding appointing guardian of mentally ill persons and appointment of manager for management of property of mentally ill persons and duties of guardian and manager etc. He assured the participants to provide instant legal services to poor, senior citizens, women and children, mentally disabled persons etc.
Three awareness camps to create awareness about the Legal Services schemes, rights of children, women, senior citizens, specially abled persons and other schemes were organized at court complex Katra, Mahore and Bus Stand Katra in collaboration with TLSC Katra, TLSC Mahore and Child Welfare Committee respectively.
