National Legal Services Day observed in Ganderbal
GANDERBAL : The National Legal Services Day was today observed at Ganderbal by the District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) Ganderbal under the guidance of Secretary, District Legal Services Authority Ganderbal.
The day started by reading the Preamble of Constitution of India in which Worthy Chairperson DLSA Ganderbal, Secretary DLSA Ganderbal, Staff members & PLVs were present.
The National Legal Services Day programme was a call to ensure reasonable fair and just procedure for all citizens.
On the occasion, the Secretary DLSA Ganderbal, emphasized on the urgency of striving for reducing the gap between the rich and poor litigants for a fair justice delivery.
The motion of free legal aid finds its roots in the idea that all individuals should be provided justice without there being any discrimination, she added.
The programme was virtually attended by youth clubs of almost all villages throughout the Ganderbal, with the objective to provide Legal awareness to the person last in queue.
Advocate Sabreena Fayaz explained the role of Legal Services Authorities in ensuring Justice to weaker sections of the society.
The participants were made aware about the objective and functions of Legal Services Authorities and their aim to ensure justice by providing free and competent legal services.
