National session of Rock Art Society of India on February 27

Bhopal : Chief Secretary Shri S.R. Mohanty will inaugurate the 24th national session of the Rock Art Society of India on February 27 at 10.30 am in the State Museum. This session, dedicated to Padmashri Dr.V.S. Vakankar, is being organized under the joint aegis of Archaeological Archives and Museums and Tourism Development Corporation.

Former Director General of Archaeological Survey of India Dr. Rakesh Tiwari will give the Dr. Vakankar Memorial Lecture at the session. Famous scientists, heritage conservators, administrators, professors and scholars from various fields of rock art, forest conservators, tourism managers, directors etc. are also attending the convention.
