National Space Day observed

ALIGARH : The Aligarh Muslim University’s school students enthusiastically participated in a series of events held by their respective schools to mark the National Space Day on August 23, which commemorates the successful landing of Chandrayaan-3 on the Moon.

The AMU ABK High School (Girls) organized competitive events for students, including the Essay Writing, Poster Making and Quiz competitions to create awareness about the day.

An intra-school science quiz on space exploration was organized for the students of Class VIII to X, while an essay writing and poster making competitions were organized for the students of junior and primary groups. Around 150 students participated in the competitions.

In her address, the Vice Principal, Dr. Saba Hasan highlighted the extraordinary achievement of India in Moon exploration, its benefits and opportunities for further space exploration.

Dr. Farhat Parveen was the coordinator of the programme.

At the AMU City Girls’ High School, various events, including Essay Writing, Poster Making, Model Making and Quiz competitions were organized to mark the day.

Dr. Md. Alamgir, Principal, appreciated the creativity of the students and appreciated the efforts of the teachers involved in organizing the space day commemorative activities.

The AMU Girls’ School celebrated the Space Day with multi-level competitive events aimed at creating interest in student regarding space exploration and urging them to take up astronomy and space science as a subject of their future academic interest. The theme of the events was “Touching Lives while Touching the Moon: India space Saga”

The Principal of the school, Ms Amna Malik, along with the Event In charge Ms Sundus Nurulein and the Coordinator of the programme, Ms Rana Habib Khan oversaw the management of the events and distributed certificates to the winners.
