National Tooth Brushing Day observed
ALIGARH : The Department of Periodontia and Community Dentistry, Dr Z.A. Dental College, Aligarh Muslim University organized a dental health camp at the Syedna Tahir Saifuddin (STS) School, marking the National Tooth Brushing Day, aiming at raising awareness about the crucial connection between oral health and general well-being. Prof Neha Agrawal, Chairperson of the department, highlighted the department’s vision, “Healthy teeth, happy life,” emphasizing the need for individuals to value oral hygiene as a means of protecting overall health.
The awareness event included toothpaste distribution among 200 students, health education lecture by the postgraduate students, Dr. Hridya and Dr. Richa, who provided students with valuable insights and practical knowledge about dental hygiene practices, and a quiz competition conducted by a second-year resident, Dr. Shazia.
Dr. Pramod Kumar Yadav and Dr. Syed Amaan Ali, supervised the events.
At the dental health camp, the dental professionals examined students for various dental diseases, and the cases requiring further care and treatment were referred to the Dental College for comprehensive follow-up.
The School Principal, Mr. Faisal Nafis supervised the event and emphasized the importance of oral health for the students’ well-being.
