National workshop held on ‘Financial Education for Young Lawyers’
ALIGARH : The Faculty of Law, Aligarh Muslim University organized a three-day national workshop on ‘Financial Education for Young Lawyers’, in collaboration with National Institute of Securities Management and Kotak Mahindra CSR Initiative. More than 124 participants attended the workshop held at the Moot Court Hall.
Welcoming the resource persons and participants, Prof. M.Z.M. Nomani, Dean, Faculty of Law, said that ‘in post liberalization, privatization and globalization world order, the legal education drastically switched to corporate law practice and adjudication and to this end the financial education is an essential value addition for young lawyers.’
The key speaker, Mr. Aqeelur Rahman discussed the challenges of the securities market and underlined the need for corporate advocacy not only for financial inclusion but also for bringing economic justice in India.
Extending a vote of thanks, Dr Syed Mohammad Yawar, Programme Coordinator said that the brainstorming sessions enabled the participants to go through the practical learning of primary and secondary market, mutual fund, stock trading, and market volatility.
