National workshop on spoken English, Personality Development concludes at GCOE

JAMMU: The three day National Workshop on Spoken English and Personality Development successfully concluded at Government College of Education Jammu, today. The workshop was held in a blended manner through online and offline mode.

The resource persons who conducted the workshop were Brigadier Dr.Vijay Sagar Dheman Dr.G.Kanniyan from St.Joseph’s College, Tamil Nadu,Dr.Sonia Khajuria and Mr.Abhimanyu Billawaria. Twenty students of M.Ed section of the college along with two students of Rajiv Gandhi College of Education attended the Programme in the campus. The program was tele- casted live on facebook and Google meet for the students who had registered the workshop through online mode. The students were given training in speaking skills, day to day conversation, Public speaking skills, confidence building measures, NLP, correct pronunciation, Body language etc.The programme was organized by Dr.Rajinder Kour, Dr.Mandeep Singh , Prof.Deep K Bangotra and Prof Shalini Rana.

Dr.Kulvinder Kour, Principal of the college appreciated the efforts of the organizing team. Students played a key role in overall management of the program. Sabya, Payal, Yasmeen, Divya, Ankita of M.Ed section anchored the program in the three day span.

At the valedictory function Richa, Koushal Magotra, Ravinder Rao presented a cultural program based on English language. The faculty members who were present on the occasion were Prof K K Mangotra, Prof Satish Sharma and Kr Abhimanyu Billawaria was the Guest of Honour.
