NCPA conducts an online workshop with dance exponent, Aditi Mangaldas on International Dance Day
Delh : On the occasion of International Dance day, the National Centre for the Performing Arts in association with Aditi Mangaldas will be hosting an enthralling kathak workshop on Wednesday, 29th April,2020 at 6:00 pm on LIVE on NCPA’s Facebook page.
Aditi Mangaldas will talk on- FINDING EXPANSION WITHIN CONSTRICTION. The topic explores the expansion of the body even though the body itself is within a confined space. Further, understanding this through the medium of Nritta sequences from the Kathak repertoire. The workshop will be followed by a Q&A session and a demo of a short piece.
Commenting on the session, Ms. Swapnokalpa Dasgupta, Head of Dance Department said, “For the first time ever, we are conducting a digital workshop for our beloved dance enthusiasts. The online workshop will be a unique opportunity for creatively utilizing the leisure time by enhancing and rekindling the dance skills. We are glad to have kathak exponent Ms. Aditi Mangaldas conduct this workshop. She will not only impart her knowledge on Kathak but simultaneously talk about the significance of dance in today’s lives.”
