NEC India offers Covid-19 vaccinations for employees and their dependents

New Delhi: NEC Corporation India (NEC India), a wholly-owned subsidiary of NEC Corporation, is sponsoring Covid-19 vaccination for employees and their declared dependents who are a part of the company medical insurance with immediate effect. A part of their recently launched ‘NEC Makes It Happen’ campaign aimed at adding value to people’s everyday lives, NEC India has advised employees and their dependents to vaccinate, subject to eligibility as per government criteria.

Contributing to their spirit of One Team, NEC India has arranged for Covid Care concierge desks across office locations – Noida, Mumbai, Chennai and Bangalore, effective 19th March 2021, to manage work schedules better and guide employees on the process. The helpdesk is also equipped to help with sharing details of nearby vaccination centers along with the overall claim process. The process begins with a mandatory self-registration on the Covid-19 vaccine registration portal (CoWin), followed by setting up an appointment. The vaccination drive will work on a reimbursement model across a list of hospitals including Fortis Healthcare, Apollo Hospital and Max Hospital. NEC is offering a claim value of INR. 250/- per vaccination shot. After the first dose, the beneficiary will be automatically given a follow-up appointment for the second dose at the same centre.

Ms. Kashish Daya Kapoor, CHRO/Head HR, NEC Corporation India, said, “At NEC, our first responsibility as a business is to ensure the safety of our employees and their families. Everyone at NEC has contributed to the organization collectively as a team during the time of crises. We have witnessed each of our employees show resilience, flexibility and courage through these tough times with the immense support of their families. We remain committed to the vaccination program and will continue to extend our support. We encourage our employees and their families to get vaccinated and to play their part in ending the pandemic.”
