New Academic Session for Undergraduate students commences at Amity with a scared Havan Ceremony
Amity University Noida campus was abuzz with freshers as “Deeksharambh”, a five-day Student Orientation Programme was organized at the University campus for the First Year Students of Undergraduate Programs, from 17th -21stAugust, 2023. To mark the occasion a sacred Havan Ceremony was performed by Dr. Balvinder Shukla, Vice Chancellor Amity University Uttar Pradesh, along with the Deans, HoDs, HOIs, faculty members, students, parents and the staff of Amity. More than 8,000 freshers and their parents attended the Havan ceremony and Orientation Programme.
Extending her best wishes to the students and parents on the beginning of the new session, Dr. Balvinder Shukla, Vice Chancellor, Amity University Uttar Pradesh averred, “The beginning of a new academic session is a very auspicious occasion, and following the tradition and culture of Amity, every new session commences by performing a Havan. Amity warmly welcomes all the students who have been selected for the Undergraduate Programmes and the students must aim to study hard and make their parents, institution, and country proud.”
She called upon the parents to keep track of their children’s progress and activities by being in touch with the faculty and teachers from time to time.
Speaking about the global exposure provided to students at Amity, Dr. Gurinder Singh, Group Vice Chancellor, Amity Universities, stated, “Prayers can move mountains, and nothing is impossible if students work hard and seek the blessings of their parents and God. Amity believes in providing immense international exposure through its programs such as Study Abroad Program, Student Exchange Program and many others so that the students can attain global knowledge and widen their horizons.”
Also present on the occasion were Dr. D.K. Bandyopadhyay, Chairman, Amity Law School, Dr. Alpana Kakkar, Dean- Academic Affairs, along with the HOIs and senior faculty members of Amity, amongst others.
