New building will prove to be a milestone in nation building: CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan

Bhopal : hief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan today dedicated the newly constructed office building of Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad “Chhatri-Shakti” in Rishi Nagar, during his stay in Ujjain district. Addressing the programme, Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that this building will prove to be a milestone in nation building. If similar offices are built in every district and division level, students would be able to contribute more towards nation building. He said that the credit of whatever good work he is able to do today goes to Vidyarthi Parishad. A campaign has been launched in the state against the atrocities committed on women. This idea is also accredited to the Parishad. Those who commit atrocities on women in the state will not be spared. The Chief Minister said that the recent Religious Freedom Ordinance has been made in the state inspired by the same.

Sharing his experiences as a member in Vidyarthi Parishad, Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that he had decided long ago that he has to work as an ABVP worker. Today he has seen its grand office in Ujjain. When he was associated with the Parishad, there used to be a small office of ABVP in Loha Bazaar, Bhopal, the rent of which was Rs 90. As a worker, we used to fill water and take to the office and used to do all the work ourselves. At that time cycle was the only means of transport. We used to move along the streets of Bhopal on bicycle. He mentioned the way in which Saligramji, who was the head of the Parishad, got the work done and said that this office too will work to connect the society and build the nation like before.

Addressing the programme, State’s Higher Education Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that the Parishad develops the quality of leadership. He said that Vidyarthi Parishad has made him what he is today. School Education Minister Shri Inder Singh Parmar, while sharing his experiences, also spoke about the passion of the Parishad members while working in adverse conditions during that time. He encouraged students to always work in public interest. Chief guest on the occasion, RSS Saha Sarkaryawahak Shri Dattatreya Hosabale said that the Parishad workers are from every section of the society and are making their contribution in the upliftment of every section of the society. The office building of the Parishad is a site for personality development. This office will also contribute to the personality development of the next generation. Special guest ABVP National Joint Organising Secretary Shri Prafulla Akant said that this building will play an important role in developing leadership qualities. He too shared his experiences with Saligramji.

On this occasion, Chief Minister Shri Chouhan also dedicated the library and reading room by cutting the ribbon. The Chief Minister invited the craftsmen who contributed to the construction of the building to the dais and honoured them with shawls, memento and bouquets. Meanwhile, Minister of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises and Science and Technology, Shri Om Prakash Sakhlecha, Minister for Farmer Welfare and Agriculture Development, Shri Kamal Patel, Member of Parliament Shri Anil Ferozia, MLA Shri Paras Jain, Shri Bahadur Singh Chauhan, Former Member of Parliament Shri Chintamani Malviya, Former MLA Shri Rajendra Bharti and other distinguished citizens were present.
