New Chairman at the Department of Surgery

ALIGARH  : Prof Atia Zaka-ur-Rab has been appointed as Chairman, Department of Surgery, J.N. Medical College, Aligarh Muslim University for three years with effect from October 29, 2024.

Prof Atia has been engaged in teaching and research for more than 25 years and she has published more than 50 research papers in reputed international and national journals, including Acta Medica Iranica, The Saudi Journal of Gastroenterology, Journal of College of Physicians and Surgeons of Pakistan, Indian Journal of Surgery, Indian Journal of Pathology and Microbiology, etc. She has also attended 70 conferences and symposia.

Her thrust areas include surgical oncology, diseases of the breast and thyroid, and minimally invasive surgeries.
