New Coordinator at the Students’ Counselling Centre

ALIGARH : Prof Roomana N. Siddiqui, Psychology Section, Women’s College, Aligarh Muslim University has been appointed Coordinator, Students’ Counselling Centre of the University, for a period of one year or till further orders.

Prof Siddiqui is a social psychologist with keen interest in issues of social relevance. She has published a large number of articles and authored a book titled, “Dreams and Destinations: An Illustrated Publication of 100 Years of Women’s Education”.

Her current line of research includes issues related to environment, identity and intergroup relations. She is interested in identifying the shared spaces between diverse groups which has implications for intergroup harmony. Her teaching interests include Applied Social Psychology, Environmental Psychology, Intergroup Relations, Personality Adjustment and Mental Health and Research methodology.

She has served as Provost, Abdullah Hall from 2016-2017.
