New Delhi: Sports Minister Anurag Thakur calls upon nation’s youth to contribute to nation-building at Yuva Samvad – India@2047
Union Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports Anurag Singh Thakur today called upon the nation’s youth to contribute towards making India a better place to live in and work towards making the country a Vishwa Guru. Addressing Yuva Samvad “India@2047” in New Delhi today, the Minister said the future of the country is dependent on the constructive, collective, and collaborative capacities of the youth to shape the new world order. Noting that India’s youth constitute a vital social capital of economic growth, the Minister urged them to convert the challenges before them into opportunities.
The Minister said the youth should contribute in their own way to bring down energy and fuel consumption, avoid wastage of food and contribute their mite to achieve 100 percent literacy.
He also urged the youth to project the unsung heroes of the Freedom Movement on social media platforms.
Speaking on the occasion, Union Education and Skill Development Minister Dharmendra Pradhan observed that while the youth become more aware of their rights, they should exercise them with responsibility
Minister of State for Youth Affairs Nishith Pramanik was among those who participated in the function.
Sportspersons P R Shreejesh, Nikhat Zareen, and Priyanka Goswami participated in the event and encouraged the youth.
Around 400 youth including National Youth Awardees and Youth delegates, who have been sent by Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports to various countries to represent India as a part of International Youth delegations participated in the event.
