New Master’s Program “Digital Economy and Financial Analytics”
The Institute of Economics and Law of PetrSU has launched a new master’s program “Digital Economy and Financial Analytics”.
The program provides training for highly qualified specialists in the field of financial consulting.
Students acquire the knowledge necessary to provide information on the state and prospects of the financial market, trends in changes in securities prices, foreign exchange, conditions for banking products and services. Graduates are able to provide professional advice on personal budgeting, insurance, savings formation, loan and investment portfolio management.
The main special disciplines are “Financial Markets”, “Investment Analysis”, “Financial Risk Management”, “Financial Assets Management”.
The program includes educational and industrial practice. As part of the practice, students are engaged in research work on the topic of the dissertation, as well as gain practical skills in the profile of professional activity in commercial organizations.
The student will receive a master’s degree in the direction 38.04.01 “Economics”, profile “Digital economy and financial analytics”.
Graduates work in the financial services of enterprises in different sectors of the economy, as specialists in consulting and insurance companies, commercial banks, create their own business, can continue their studies in postgraduate studies at PetrSU and other universities in Russia.
Students undergo training (practice) in commercial organizations, in banks, and also participate in exchange programs abroad. Master’s students receive increased scholarships for success in their studies and scientific work, scholarships from the Oxford Russian Foundation, the Vladimir Potanin Foundation.
Graduate of the program:
carries out independent applied or fundamental scientific research in promising areas of development of the financial market;
explains the essence of financial products, legal and economic characteristics of financial products and services;
collects, analyzes and provides reliable information across the entire spectrum of financial (investment) services.
The Master’s program is developed on the basis of the Professional Standard “Financial Consulting Specialist”.
Form of study: full-time (2 years).
