New postgraduate seats in Faculty of Unani Medicine

Aligarh: To meet the ever-increasing demand of specialists across the country as well as facilitate the residency programmes, the Faculty of Unani Medicine, Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) started four new post graduate courses in Ilaj bit Tadbeer, Munafeual Aza, Amraz-e-Jild-wa-Zohrawiya and Saidla with the intake of four seats each.

“In the centenary year, our main focus is to give the best academic environment and facilities to students. In this context, the increase in number of postgraduate seats is one of the best ways we can pay homage to the University founder, Sir Syed Ahmad Khan,” said AMU Vice Chancellor, Professor Tariq Mansoor.

He added that the increase in number of PG seats is also a tribute to the vision of modern scientific education of Sir Syed Ahmad Khan.

Prof M M H Siddiqui, Dean, Faculty of Unani Medicine said: “Besides, increasing the availability of qualified health professionals; the new PG seats will also improve tertiary care and promote affordable Unani medical education in the country.”
