New Provost for Hadi Hasan Hall

ALIGARH  : Prof. Mohammad Athar Ansari, Department of Community Medicine, faculty of Medicine, Aligarh Muslim University has been appointed Provost, Hadi Hasan Hall for two years or till further orders, whichever is earlier, with effect from 10.06.2024.

Prof Ansari has been engaged in teaching, training and research for over the last 25 years and has published 9 books on public health issues and more than 150 research papers in journals of national and international repute. He is involved in research on micronutrient deficiencies, HIV/AIDS, disaster management, and environmental health issues.

He has been Coordinator/Principal Investigator/ Co-investigator/Supervisor of various prestigious projects of different agencies like UNICEF, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, World Learning of USA, Nuclear Power Corporation of India Ltd. (NPCIL), Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR), and Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Govt. of India. He is a life member of various public health organizations.
