Nine B.Tech Students from AMU’s Interdisciplinary Centre for Artificial Intelligence Awarded IndiaAI Fellowships
Aligarh : Nine B.Tech. (Artificial Intelligence) students from the Interdisciplinary Centre for Artificial Intelligence (ICAI) at Aligarh Muslim University have been awarded the prestigious IndiaAI Fellowship. This national initiative, launched by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) under the IndiaAI mission, aims to support talented individuals from top NIRF-ranked engineering institutions across India.
The awardees, Faiz Mubeen, Lakshya Kamal Prakash, Mohammad Hamid Akhlaque, Muskan Azmi, Omama Afroz, Siddhi Varshney, Vikalp, Yahya Farooq, and Zoya Ahmad, were selected based on their innovative project proposals and alignment with national AI priorities. Their work demonstrates the potential to contribute significantly to India’s AI ecosystem.
These students are guided by mentors Prof. Rashid Ali, Dr. Mohammad Sarfraz, Dr. Md. Asraful Haque, Dr. Junaid Ali Reshi, and Ms. Aysha Khan. Prof. Rashid Ali, Coordinator of ICAI, remarked, “This achievement highlights our commitment to AI research excellence and workforce development to help India lead globally in AI.”
