NIRAMAI to organise October breast cancer awareness month webinar
NIRAMAI Health Analytix on the occasion of October breast cancer awareness month is hosting a webinar on Breast cancer risk & prevention on Friday, 29th October 5 pm – 6 pm. The session will be conducted by the well-known Dr. Garima Mehta, Professor Surgery, AIIMS Udaipur. This webinar looks at how to help people reduce their risk of breast cancer and raises awareness.
The mortality rate due to breast cancer can definitely be reduced. And that can be done, only and only by ‘being aware of symptoms of breast cancer and reporting to the doctor on time. A stitch in time saves nine. Saves lives. According to the World Health Organisation in 2020, there were 2.3 million women diagnosed with breast cancer and 685,000 deaths globally.
The speaker of the session Dr. Garima Mehta is a renowned Breast Surgeon in Udaipur and currently practices at AIIMS, Udaipur. For the past 14 years, Dr. Garima has worked as a Breast Cancer Specialist and gained proficient skills and knowledge in the segments. She has pursued a degree in MBBS, MS – General Surgery and PhD, she is a well-known member of the National Academy of Medical Sciences.
In this session, Dr. Mehta discusses how to decrease the risk of getting breast cancer, factors that influence risk and methods to find it as early as possible. The webinar will begin with the expert sharing information on various health problems followed by a Q/A session. All the participants will get an opportunity to interact with the expert at the end of the session.
