NIT Andhra Pradesh conducts Induction Programme of First-Year B.Tech students
This batch will pursue an academic curriculum revised as per the National Education Policy 2020 with the programme encouraging the freshers to develop life skills, human values, lifestyle & professional discipline
TADEPALLIGUDEM : National Institute of Technology Andhra Pradesh conducted an Induction Programme for the incoming batch of first year B.Tech students admitted for the academic year 2021-22. It will be conducted in online mode from 15th to 24th December 2021.
This batch will pursue the revised curriculum as per National Educational Policy 2020. The online classes for B.Tech. students will be commenced from 27th December 2021 immediately after the induction programme.
Delivering the presidential address, Prof. C.S.P. Rao, Director, NIT Andhra Pradesh mentioned “The students should plan for a creative learning pathway towards their future career success from the initial stage only. The students are encouraged to study the interdisciplinary courses and carry out innovative projects. The Institute provides a wonderful platform to practice extra curriculum and co-curriculum activities during the comfortable students stay at the campus.”
Further, Prof. C.S.P. Rao, Director, NIT Andhra Pradesh, added, “The students aim not only for placements but also to be part of the national building from inspirational efforts of great leaders of the country. They should explore the opportunities with entrepreneurship and start-ups in students’ lives. The students are advised to utilize the campus facilities and improve communication skills”.
The objective of the Induction Programme are as follows:
Ø To inculcate life skills, human values, lifestyle, and professional discipline
Ø To improve creative learning, bonding with students and teachers
Ø To familiarize the students with the rules, regulations, and culture of the Institution
Ø To improve students listening, writing, and communication skills in English
Ø Problem solving techniques with mathematics, learning by doing, and stress relieving
Ø To adapt themselves to the changing market conditions, real-world problems, etc
A total of 716 students took their admission in various departments which includes

The Chief Guest, Dr. Sudhir Kumar Mishra, Distinguished Scientist and Former Director General of BrahMos, DRDO, New Delhi, said, “I am delighted to participate in the event and appreciate the efforts of the Institute and the team for creating a wonderful infrastructure and facilities in the NIT campus. Due to the ongoing COVID-19 Pandemic restrictions, the event was held in hybrid mode. Dr Veeresh Kumar G.B., Dean (Student Affairs), NIT Andhra Pradesh, welcomed the gathering and spoke about the induction programme, Dr. T. Kurumayya, Dean (Academic Affairs), NIT Andhra Pradesh. presented the outline of the academic programmes. Dr N. Jayaram, Dean (Planning and Development), NIT Andhra Pradesh, illustrated the overview and developments of the Institute. Dr. Sharad Dwivedi, First Year Coordinator, proposed the vote of thanks to the event.
