NIT Rourkela organizes five days short term course on Advanced Manufacturing Systems towards Steel Industry Needs

Rourkela: National Institute of Technology (NIT) Rourkela organized a Five Days Short term course on “Advanced Manufacturing Systems and Metallurgical Studies towards Steel Industry Needs”. It was jointly organized by the Department of Mechanical Engineering and Industrial Design. Inaugurating the workshop the director of NIT Rourkela professor Animesh Biswas told, ” Hope the workshop strengthens the relationship between industry and institute. advanced manufacturing systems and metallurgical study play a vital role when it comes to industry”, said the director.
The Registrar In-charge Professor Saroj Kumar Patel talked about the importance of Industry-Institute partnership. He wished for the success of the workshop. Professor Dayal Ramakrushna Parhi, the principal coordinator of the program had elaborated on Advanced Manufacturing Systems, Artificial intelligence and Metallurgical Studies in Steel Industry in Industrial Environment. Coordinator of the workshop professor BBVL Deepak spoke about the importance of the workshop. He welcomed the guests in the beginning. In the end, the professor extended the vote of thanks. The short term course will cover the importance, objectives, and implementation of Advanced Manufacturing Systems, Artificial Intelligence and Metallurgical Studies in Steel Industry. Total 42 executives from Vizag steel plant participated in the short term course.
