NMIMS Indore STME achieves 100% placement for its first batch of MBA (Tech) 5-year integrated program

Indore :  SVKM’s NMIMS School of Technology Management & Engineering (STME-Indore), an institute that provides a 5-year integrated Engineering and MBA degree (MBA-Tech), has achieved a stellar record of 100 percent placement for its first Batch (2017-2022) with India’s leading companies selecting students from the campus directly. STME-Indore has emerged as one of the most preferred campuses for job placements by leading corporates in the state. The institute has linkages with over 54 companies that have conducted campus recruitments for final placements and summer internships.

The placement model at STME-Indore is a five-stage process, involving pre-placement activities, career guidance, counselling students on job opportunities, executing placement and post-placement reviews.

With this, STME-Indore, a constituent engineering college of the Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS), a Deemed-to-be University with an academic legacy of 41 years, has set yet another milestone of achieving stellar placement records in its campuses across the country. STME-Indore is one of the four campuses of SVKM’s NMIMS, besides Mumbai, Navi Mumbai and Shirpur, offering the integrated 5-year MBA (Tech) program. Students who pass their 12thBoards from ICSE, CBSE or any other State Board with at least 50% score in PCM are eligible to enrol for this integrated MBA (Tech.) program, albeit after qualifying the Engineering N-CET or achieving a JEE Merit.

The students of this integrated program get the benefit of having two valuable degrees – B. Tech. in Computer Engineering and MBA (Tech. Management) – in just five years, which saves a precious year of their careers and gives them a head start in the job market. Students get the best of two worlds of Engineering and Management in Finance, BIA, Operations & Marketing from a university of repute, besides over 6 months of direct industry exposure through the four-week Technical Internship Program (TIP) and 19 weeks of Management internship Program (MIP).

During this year’s recruitment for the MBA (Tech) graduates, leading companies like CRISIL, Jamboree Education, EY GDS, EVOSYS, AVAVTA, Next Education, ThemePro Technologies, Brillio, Creative IT Inc., and many other companies offered several positions across various spectrums of their company’s business with an average pay package of around Rs 9.5 lakh per annum.

Dr. Prachi Gharpure, Director, Indore Campus, SVKM’s NMIMS, said, “We at NMIMS STME-Indore are proud to see 100% placement for the very first batch of the MBA (Tech) program. NMIMS distinguished itself by offering programs across all its campuses that hone the problem solving skills of students with a practice-oriented pedagogy suited to the contemporary changes and emerging needs of the industry. This focus on creating industry-ready talent has led SKVM’s NMIMS to emerge as the most preferred destination for corporates for on campus hirings. The MBA (Tech) program is also curated to serve this need of the industry and hence has seen a similar enthusiasm from recruiters for hiring our MBA (Tech) graduates.”

Speaking on the successful placement season, Dr. Aaquil Bunglowala, Associate Dean, of NMIMS STME-Indore campus, said, “We are delighted to share that despite the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, the first batch of MBA Tech (Computer engineering) successfully achieved 100% placement. The MBA (Tech) Program is designed in such a manner that its emphasis is on developing analytical skills along with project-based learning. Apart from the curriculum, students are given Career Guidance, Live Industrial Projects and Visits, Soft Skill Training, Workshops and Guest Lectures regularly to improve their performance and skills.”

He also extended his gratitude to active and the well-structured Training and Placement (T&P) Cell of NMIMS Indore campus for their commendable efforts in setting up the placement drive and for providing students an opportunity to make a career in their dream companies.
