No public event and congregation should be organized on festivals: CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan

Bhopal : Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh has said that the recovery rate of the state has reached 74.7 percent in the state. All districts should ensure compliance of corona related guidelines like use of face masks and social distancing compulsorily. Face masks and social distancing are effective in preventing corona. Along with home isolation, wherever required arrangement for institutional quarantine should be made to break the chain of corona. Shri Chouhan further mentioned that it should be ensured that no public events and congregation should be organized during the ensuing festivals like Ganesh Utsav and Moharram etc. For this purpose, if at any place, large idols and taziyas are being made then it should be banned immediately. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan instructed to take spread of corona infection in jails seriously and for taking effective measures to prevent it. He mentioned that every possible effort should be made to protect front line government servants from infection. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan also sought information as regard to death of the renowned poet late Shri Rahat Indori. Shri Chouhan was reviewing the situation of corona in the state through video conferencing.

Constant increase in testing capacity

It was informed in the review meeting that testing capacity is increasing constantly in the state. Now, more than 20 thousand tests per day are being conducted. So far, 31 thousand 835 people have recovered out of 42 thousand 618 people. Currently, there are 9 thousand 718 active cases in the state.

Rajgarh and Sidhi district reviewed

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan sought information in particular about Rajgarh and Sidhi district. Total 54 containment areas have been made in Rajgarh. Fine is being imposed against people for not wearing face masks and action is being taken regularly for violation of social distancing. Collector of Rajgarh has been directed to keep those families in institutional quarantine, which are not following the provisions of home isolation. Similarly, cases of Sidhi district have been reviewed and information was sought about the capacity available there.

Additional Chief Secretary Health Shri Mohammad Suleman informed that detailed guidelines concerning home isolation and institutional quarantine have been issued to the districts. Jabalpur, Morena, Khargone, Neemuch, Mandsuar, Ratlam, Sagar and Indore district were also reviewed in the meeting. The Minister for Home Dr. Narottam Mishra, Chief Secretary Shri Iqbal Singh Bains and other officers attended the review meeting.
