Noida International University Successfully Concludes NIU Trophy Challenge 2024
Noida — Noida International University (NIU) has successfully concluded its annual NIU Trophy Challenge, a three-day sporting extravaganza held from September 25 to September 27, 2024. The event witnessed participation from 18 universities across Delhi NCR, competing fiercely over 4 rounds (R-1, R-2, Quarter Final, Semi-Final, & Final) to win the coveted NIU Trophy Challenge.
The opening ceremony was a grand affair with Mr. Harshvardhan Singh, former cricketer of the Uttar Pradesh Cricket team and founder of the Harsh Pace Foundation, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. The ceremony was also attended by Dr. Vikram Singh, Chancellor; Prof. (Dr.) Uma Bhardhwaj, Vice Chancellor, and Dr. Mukesh Parashar, Registrar of Noida International University, who lent their support and encouragement to the participants.

The thrilling final match saw NIU Warriors taking on AKGEC Ghaziabad in a high-stakes game. NIU Warriors won the toss and chose to bat first, setting a competitive target. With strong performances,NIU Warriors clinched the match by 40 runs, securing their victory in the tournament.
The standout performer and Man of the Match was Tushar, who played a key role in the NIU Warriors’ win by scoring 35 runs.
The tournament was jointly organized by Ahmad Zaidi, General Secretary of Sports, along with Devansh Choubey, Student Council President, and Raj Upadhyay, NSS Student President. They worked under the leadership of Mr. Harish Singh Patwal, Head Coach of Sports, with essential support from Lt. Pratima Pandey, Director of Sports and Dean of Student Welfare, Noida International University, ensured the smooth execution of the event.

Also, the Chancellor Sir and the VC Ma’am’s backhand support played a crucial role in planning this event and making it possible. She also praised the students who worked day and night for the arrangements and other things for the event. She also appreciated the winners and other teams participating in this NIU Trophy challenge and encouraged everyone to keep the team spirit up.”
