North and South Chhattisgarh to meet in Chandkhuri on December 17

Raipur: On account of the completion of second year of the new government’s term under the leadership of Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel, ‘Paryatan Rath’ (tourism chariot) and bike rally is being organized at Ram Van Gaman Tourism Circuit from December 14 to 17. This chariot and bike rally would commence from Sitamadi Harchauka area of Koriya district in the nothern side of the state and from Ramram area of Sukma district in the sourthern side of the state. Both the chariot and the rally would cover various destinations from both sides of the state to meet and conclude at Chandkhuri area of Chhattisgarh on December 17. During this rally, memento and soil of various tourist sports will be collected as souvenir, which would be used for planting saplings at Chandkhuri in a programme to be organized on December 17 from 1.30pm. As the rally concludes, Chief Guest of the programme would be presented memento.

On December 14, rally of ‘Paryatan Rath’ along with Ramayana book, memento, nearly 30 bikes, hoardings and vehicle sound system would commence from Sitamadi Harchauka, Koriya district and Ramaram, Sukma district i.e. from the opposite ends of the state. Spiritual hymns and religious songs of Lord Shri Ram would be played on the music system during the rally. District Administration officials along with local MLAs and public representatives would flag off the rally and ‘rathyatra’ from Sitamadi Harchauka and Ramaram. Memento (Torch, Ramayana Holy Book, Flag) would be handed to the district biking group under the leadership of District Administration.

Each district will have different bike groups from one border to another. Meanwhile, vehicles will be flagged off by dignitaries and public representatives. The rally will be held only till sunset of the day. The rally will be continued from the place where it had ended the previous day. The path will be followed as per the map of the proposed Ram Van Gaman Tourism circuit.
