North-West University’s Career Coaching Sessions Equip Students with Essential Skills and Insights
The North-West University (NWU) Career Services recently presented career coaching sessions focusing on diversity and inclusivity for 29 students on the Potchefstroom Campus.
This opportunity provided a platform for students to delve into important topics, exchange ideas with peers, and gain invaluable insights into the ever-evolving landscape of diversity and inclusivity in the workplace.
The sessions, led by career coach Azwi Singo, were informative and engaging and enabled students to broaden their knowledge and acquire valuable skills essential for success in today’s job market.
In addition to the diversity and inclusivity sessions, students also learned how to compile a resumé and how to prepare for an interview. These sessions, facilitated by liaison officer Nombulelo Malunga, equipped students with the necessary tools and techniques to stand out and secure their dream job.
Information officer Khumbulani Menyuka further engaged with students, offering valuable insights on how they can leverage Career Zone portal and its features to maximise their career prospects.
Other on-campus activities were also organised to provide students with additional information about Career Services’ offerings. Strategically organised between classes, these allowed students to engage directly with the team, further enhancing their understanding of the resources available to support their career development.
This interaction with students serves as a testament to Career Services’ commitment to empowering students with the necessary tools, resources, and opportunities to build successful careers. One hundred and five students were impacted.
