North Zone Intervarsity tournament: AMU begin campaign with thumping win

Aligarh: In an opening match of North Zone Intervarsity tournament, AMU begin its campaign by thrashing Invertis University, Bareilly at Aligarh Wallingdon Pavillion ground by 116 runs

AMU got a good start with scintillating knocks from Aman scoring 55 off 23 balls and Hannan Rizwan 42 off 31 balls. The AMU scored 178 in the stipulated 20 overs

Invertis University, Bareilly could not withstand deadly bowling attack of AMU and could only manage 62 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in 20 overs. For AMU Pratham took 3 wickets giving away just one run in three overs.

For Invertis, Shivam Tomar scored 19 runs off 36 balls and other batsman who could reach double figure was Vejendra scoring 10 runs off 18 balls. Invertis bolwer Naseem Ansari took 2 wickets giving away 33 runs.
