Northwestern University celebrates officials who have been with the University for 25 years or more
Earlier this month, Northwestern celebrated the service of longtime employees who epitomize the important role staff play in the operations of the University.
President Michael Schill, Vice President for Human Resources and Chief Human Resources Officer Lorraine Goffe and other officials paid tribute to those who have reached milestones ranging from 25 to 50 years at Northwestern. In all, more than 300 staff members were recognized during two separate events on campus. Due to COVID-19, staff recognition events in recent years had been postponed.
“These events give us the opportunity to publicly recognize the deep commitment made by our staff, who touch every aspect of the University,” Goffe said.
In addressing the honorees, Schill described what he has learned during staff fireside chats and numerous meetings throughout the course of his first year as Northwestern president.
“A great culture involves everyone understanding and embracing our shared mission as a university,” he said. “Staff are essential to all that we do at Northwestern and, frankly, all that we plan to do in the future.”
