Northwestern University: Charles Deering McCormick University Librarian search committee seeks community input

The search committee for Northwestern’s next Charles Deering McCormick University Librarian has launched the process of obtaining input from the University community on the qualities and experiences that should be prioritized as they recruit and evaluate candidates for this important role.

There are multiple means by which Northwestern community members can share input:

Questionnaire
Northwestern community members are invited to share thoughts about the search as well as nominate potential candidates via this brief questionnaire.

Listening sessions
In addition to a listening session for Northwestern University Libraries faculty and staff, who will receive sign-up invitations separately, the search committee will host a series of listening sessions with different campus stakeholders.

Northwestern announced the formation of a search committee on Nov. 4. Charged with building a diverse pool of candidates and conducting outreach and interviews, the committee will use input obtained through these processes to align its recruitment strategy with the priorities of the Northwestern community.
