Not a single post will be de-reserved in Higher Educational Institutions, clarifies Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan

Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan has clarified that not a single post will be de-reserved in Higher Educational Institutions, which are constitutionally protected for the deprived section of the society. Talking to reporters in New Delhi, Mr. Pradhan said, there is no scope for ambiguity about reservations after the introduction of the Central Educational Institutions (Reservation in Teachers’ Cadre) Act, 2019. The Minister said that earlier there were a lot of mismatches in appointments before the Modi government. He said, the new act protects the interests of SC, ST, OBC, and economically weaker sections of the society.
