NRLM, Cooperative department organize one day registration camp at Ramsu

 

RAMBAN : National Rural Livelihood Mission (NRLM) Block Ramsu, in collaboration with the Cooperative Department, organized a day long registration camp at Ramsu, here today.

The camp was organized and attended by Deputy Registrar Cooperatives, Ramban Priyanka Sharma, District Nodal Officer NRLM, Manzoor Ahmed Rather and other officials of both the departments.

On the occasion, the Group members were briefed about the benefits and working of cooperatives in the rural areas. All the members, mainly women from NRLM, were enthusiastic about registering in cooperatives. More than 10 cooperatives of different fields like dairy, Retail Handicraft and Consumers were formed on the spot.

The main aim of this mega camp was to register new cooperatives in the field of Dairy, Hardware etc. On the occasion major thrust was laid on the formation of women SC/ST cooperatives. Around 150 members participated in the camp and on spot formalities for information of cooperative societies were completed.

The initiative was hailed by civil society and the PRIs of block Ramsoo present. The members were assured that more such camps will be organized in future for the upliftment of rural and downtrodden people of district Ramban
